"Is Yuwie a Scam?" The Question Hovering in the back of Everyone's Mind...

Image: Yuwie Logo

This is an excellent question! Is Yuwie real? or is Yuwie a Scam?

It's not for me to tell you one way or the other.

What I will tell you is this...

  • Yuwie is FREE
  • Yuwie makes their money off of advertising, just like MySpace
  • Yuwie requires a W-9 form to be filled out before getting paid (For the US Tax payers...) (how much more legit do they need to be?)

Since the dawn of Yuwie back toward the end of June, the site has reached over 85,000 members. 30,000 of them being in the second month, August. September has raked in over 45,000 members alone!

There are a LOT of people who have placed faith in Yuwe and truly believe in what the site has to offer. I personally have friends on Yuwie who are members but they don't pursue the monetary side of Yuwie. They are happy with the idea of meeting new people in a new place and sharing new ideas with new people :) I have even added people to my MySpace account, because I met them on Yuwie!

I personally joined Yuwie back around the first part of August. To date, I believe I have received only one e-mail from Yuwie to my main email address. In-fact, when I first signed up for Yuwie, I created a completely separate e-mail address just for yuwie to catch the spam. After about a week or so, I realized... "Yuwie doesn't spam with e-mail." So, I dropped that e-mail address and plugged in my personal one.

The "Y Guy" is Yuwie's Mascot if you will, whom can be compared to MySpace's Tom. (Tom Anderson is one of the founders of MySpace). The Y Guy presents earning reports for the month and any scheduled maintenance with the site. Nobody really knows who the "Y Guy" is... mainly because his picture looks like a "Y"... "Guy"... But hey, he's friendly!!

Like I said before. It's not for me to tell you whether Yuwie is a scam or not but I personally haven't seen a single aspect of the site throw up any 'red flags' to prove that Yuwie is a Scam. Unless proven otherwise, I am going to believe that Yuwie is 100% Legit!

Now it's Up to You to make that decision for yourself!

Re: Is Yuwie a scam? | Yuwie.com ->

they said it free. but when I checked on how to make referrals, I have to pay $30???? and to install Y-chat, again I have to pay $30??? I think the only thing that is free is the registration.

Is Yuwie a Scam? IT"S NOTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!

Is Yuwie a Scam?

Since August 2006 over 100 million people have signed up to myspace. If you imagine that 1 million of those people click on one advert a month and myspace gets paid 1 cents (normally about 40 cents) Thats $100,000 a month extreme minimum.

Now Yuwie is giving back to the people and paying US for our page views, meaning ever time you click on BLOG_COMMENTS_SEE FRIENDS_START CLUB_CHANGE LAYOUT* Just click the help area on yuwie! Yuwie gives an example on how you can earn over $10,000. Just for referring 3 friends!

It's not a question of if it will work anymore

Come on guys, people on yuwie are posting pics of checks and credited paypal accounts all over the web now.
Do you really think a scam can hold on an trick 320,000 members over a period of 5 months ?

People who think they promise money for free are mistaken :
-They pay for traffic, traffic=quality content="work", or at least time

People who think they will pay ALL the users are mistaken
-They don't pay below 50$, and that take about 4 months to get to this point to most of the users, of which many get discouraged in the process, because they come in thinking it's going to be fast and easy money.
So they are far from paying everyone. They pay real money to people who generate real traffic, either thru their page views or their referral's, and they pay peanuts to people who provide peanuts, a simple and very realistic deal.

I'm getting more at the moment from the web marketing point of view than in direct cash and that's FINE
-I got a lot of additional traffic to my websites, and I just need to have fun talking with others for this, if I happen to make extra money with Yuwie in the process, then it's beautiful, but I guess I'm not the only one in there who think that way, and IMHO, that's a good reason for it to work in the future.

Anyway, I'm dead serious about it and strongly believe in it, so if you enjoy spending your time on Internet, I recommend you take this Yuwie marketing course and get started earning it as soon as you can.

It could be a Yuwie world

Yuwie's growth is phenomenal. They started don May 21, 2007 and have over 43K members to date. With an average of about 1300 new members a day the Yuwie business model continues to roll along.

With a combination of Advertisements that include Google CPA, Abrites CPM & Intertisles as well straight on site ads the amount of traffic and revenue generated should allow the company to be successful.

using the Yuwie revenue share model members should see a payout and the site should continue to grow at an alarming rate.

The membership are truly interested in helping each other and the "bad apples" have been weeded out when identified.

Yuwie is a fun alternative to Myspace - Facebook - Gather and should prove a financial gain to it's members.

Yuwie Review

Why it works

On Saturday we joined some friends for a barbecue and took our 12 year old grandson who didn't know anyone there. The home we went to was surrounded by woods and my friend had constructed a huge play structure for older kids in a clearing among the trees. There were over 30 kids from 10 to 14 that started role playing some battle game and even though they started the afternoon as conplete strangers, you would think they all grew up together in a short time and we had a challenge getting our grandson to leave. It's human nature for people to bond for mutual enjoyment and Yuwie is just one more place it happens worldwide. Come join in on the fun.

Whatever

Gimmie a break - healf these responses are written by people with vested Yuwie Intrests...

"Soon they were playing some battle game - it's human nature to socialize"

Shut up already.

It's a glorified pyramid.
Soon they'll be askign you to sell Anway or whatever it's called.

Join and lose.

Yuwie is not a Multi-Level Marketing Company

Have I signed up for Yuwie? Yes. Have they required a single dime for my presence? NO.

I haven't paid a single dime to Yuwie and "IF" they ever go to a paid service, I won't stick around with them. In fact, I still haven't filled out any of the W-9 information that is required to get paid. Granted, I haven't made enough to have a payout ($25 is the min payout) So I haven't had a reason to.

In response to Yuwie being a pyramid, You have to pay to be in MLM's or pyramid schemes... Again, I am yet to pay. In fact, FriendsWin has turned out to be a true MLM based company. If you want to be an IMR or whatever it is where you can make money from the site, then you have to pay around $10 / mo to have the credentials to stay in it.

On a side note, I love when people call MLM's - pyramid companies. The reason I find this funny is because those same people work a JOB for corporate America. What does JOB stand for? Just Over Broke. The same people working a JOB, are the same ones working for true pyramid companies. Let me ask you this... As a general employee, can you make more than your manager? Possibly, but probably not. What if you are a manager? Can you make more than your district manager? Possibly, but most likely not. What if you are a Regional Manager? Can you make more than the VP of the company? You probably won't make in a lifetime, what the VP makes in a year... The point is, Corporate America is a Pyramid Scheme! Our government has 'outlawed' the MLM based pyramid companies because our government finds them to be un-ethical and forced them to re-write the rules of the company so someone who started yesterday, has the potential to make as much or more than the person who founded the MLM company. But, our government and their infinite wisdom has allowed Corporate America to flourish as pyramid companies.

My Point? Read some books like Robert Kiyosaki's Cash Flow Quadrant. As a successful businessman, he clearly states that he once though MLM companies were bad until he dove into conversation with one of his close friends who became extremely successful and wealthy through an MLM company. Making money isn't about the Business, it's about the System in how you make the money. Someone who is great at running a manufacturing business, might suck at an MLM. But, someone who is great at an MLM might suck at running a tanning salon. You have to find a business system that fits with you.

Cool thing about Yuwie, You can make money from it and not be tied down to throwing any money at it :)

Yuwie

While Yuwie may not be a scam, I can't help but feel it will turn out just like myspace... You add everyone and anyone you can to your friends just to get page views, it's not a friendly community, but a competitive one. Sure you might make a little money, but the time you invest could be better spent working at a real job, and you would make much more. Sure you can say that you won't let the money influence your actions, but there is no doubt that you will spend extra time trying to recruit people or get page views purely for a selfish gain. I'll stick with facebook, with its clean interface, and its non-competitive, discrete, friendly nature.

Suckers.

Yuwie is growing almost too fast.

For the last couple days, the server's response time has been sloooooow. But, it's only because people are signing up at a record rate. It's a Some savvy investors will jump on this site and make bank. Savvy marketers will also use it to get great ad response. It's amazing to me that their are so many skeptics to joining a site for free. Even my best friend is afraid to join because he doesn't want any spam in his email. Well, I've been a member for almost a month now, and I haven't received even one spam mail from them yet. Not to mention that you have to select the option to be notified if you do want to see any email from them whatsoever.

All I can say is, pending the success of Yuwie, many of the skeptics out there who didn't jump on the chance to join will be kicking themselves in the butt later.

I'm sticking with it, and telling all my(space) friends to join in. It's a great networking tool, and I'm glad to be using it to help spread the word about my social mission.

Take care all,
Scott

Keep being afraid of Yuwie!

I want all the skeptics to keep being afraid. By the time that they realize/find out that Yuwie is legit, it may be too late. The people who get in on this now are the ones that are going to bank the most $! I signed up one week into September and got $.88 for that month. This month I will get at least 15 times that, and it is going to keep growing exponentially for a long time! By this time next year, I will EASILY be bringing in $1000+ per month, probably a lot more! And for what?! Socializing, haha! Who's the sucker now? I'll see you on there eventually, I can about guarantee it. All your friends will be there and you'll be one of the few poor saps left on Facebook or MySpace!

Facts: Our current membership is at 212,000 (and will be near 500,000 by the end of the month). I haven't received any new spam. I have never had to pay a single penny for using it. Several people on the site have received their first payments, either by check or PayPal. I am having way more fun on Yuwie than I ever did on MySpace or Facebook.

If you would like to join my team, sign up at http://r.yuwie.com/ogrepoker and I WILL help you to succeed. Your success = my success!

Yuwie - a scam?

I couldnt agree more with u Ogre. I dont think Yuwie is a scam. And the pace at which Yuwie is growing I would obviously like to be a part of it not just for the monetory reasons.

First of all
1. Yuwie is absolutely free.It doesnt ask members to pay a dime.
2. You get to express your thoughts with blogs.
2. It has more than 200,000 members in just 5 months.
3. It is very similar to MySpace. So if u have fun in MySpace, theres nothing wrong to try out Yuwie, even if not for monetary reasons, just to make new friends and have fun.
Lets just give Yuwie a chance. So get into Yuwie today and make as many friends as you can. If Yuwie works then you are ready for it and even if it doesnt there is nothing to loose. You still have your new network of friends.
So if u do decide to get on the team, click on the link below

I couldn't agree more!

Thanks for the comment Scott! I couldn't agree more! I checked the stats last night for Yuwie (as posted on the Home Page) and was blown away by the fact that there are almost 100,000 users in only 2.5 months! I personally haven't received a single e-mail from Yuwie and I've met some awesome people on there who are all geared towards making money! I feel it is a great opportunity where there is nothing to loose but a few minutes of time each day. The funny thing is... the same amount of time people spend on MySpace, making absolutely nothing, they could be spending on Yuwie making a few extra bucks! To each his own I guess...

Yuwie? What a joke..

" Godzooks! I could not agree more with you my firend. The server has been so slow - but only because so many people have been joining."

gimmie a break - Yuwie is abotu as credible as a man in a bank with a ski mask on.

Yuwie is a Scam

wow, when I looked over the content of the site, I was unsure. Now that Ive visitied this site and have seen what it's emplyes do in order to gain more customers .. wow, there is a catch. May it be that you have to pay a small fee in the end or that you have to sell something for them, there will still b a catch.

Yuwie is for those who cannot think outside the box. People who think that things in life actually come free...

Yuwie Scam?

Haha! It's funny that you consider people signing up for Yuwie to be 'customers'. Does that mean all of the people who are signed up on MySpace are customers? Uh... No. Do they have customers? Ya, but those 'customers' are paying big bucks to have their advertisements placed all over MySpace.

You obviously don't have a clue as to how Yuwie works. But hey... that's 'OK'. Yuwie is a system of making money just like anything else business related and some people just aren't cut out to make money on Yuwie. What I find funny about that mindset... You don't have to make money on Yuwie, to be a member of Yuwie. Use it as another avenue to meet people. That's the point of social networking, to meet people.

yuwie me

Scam or not give it a go - and yes I am plugging my link! I'll tell you if I make any money - I don't think I will

http://www.yuwie.com/yuwie.asp?r=202395

LOL

Can anyone tell me how they plan to pay every one, if 200,000 pepole are makeing 10 dollers or more a mounth...Yuwie will be paying more to its users than what the adds bring in.

Dude!!!

Re: Dude!!!

Yuwie is not a scam. And I just joined this interesting site
Check out my profile: http://yuwie.com/janlac

and have fun, meeting new friends...

Very Real !

Ok folks, i have no idea how the f*** i ended up here. So take this any way you want but i think you will find its quite good.
We are the Huron Bush Boys, aka The Kings of Crude. We are a group of crazy Canadians guys who make adventure/survival/humor type videos. Our angle is the "crude" factor !
Anyway we just wanted to say that our income comes from marketing our vid's. Raw, swear filled video with lots of drinking and deliberately crude. So crude we ended up editing a ton for general viewing. Recently myspace has cut its linking to sites that take its traffic, so we needed a new way to keep traffic on the videos. Thats when we discovered Yuwie....standard google search !
Once on we noticed they let ya embed video. Videos that you get paid for....sites like metacafe etc
Once combined with Yuwie things picked up a bit, as our friends list grows so does the traffic. I am almost certain Yuwie will make some income too. No its NOT A SCAM, they are to the letter legally. No your not gonna get rich....But you will make something. How much is up too how hard you push the pyramid. Its all about you doing one thing. RECRUIT N REFER ! - a billion friends will help but if you can pull the numbers in referrals then ya, you may do very well. Listen to the video. Think about it. Its real, its the steps that get overlooked.

Now if your gonna join then join here, if nothing else you can watch us blow stuff up and smash laptops? - Cheers !
