What is uVme? | uVme.biz ->

So You Want to Know What uVme Is? It's The Question of the Day...

uVme.biz is a social networking site, somewhat like MySpace, FaceBook, Yuwie, Orkut etc. uVme is quite a bit different in a lot of areas too though. The site itself has been 'in the making' for a little over two years now, but it is drawing near to it's final launch date which is "soon" but still unknown. The features the site has to offer, includes online video games, referral based payout and instant communication with your favorite instant messenger such as Yahoo, AOL, Google and MSN, along with the usual blogs, pictures and messaging of friends.

The owners of uVme, Tom Brodie and Len Fitzgerald launced VWD in 2002 which is a U.K. based internet lottery website also known as www.virtualworlddirect.com and has proved to be very successful. The investment into the site itself has been slated as a 'seven digit figure' with no true number actually given. There is no doubt that VWD has helped to fuel the investment for uVme though I have not found anything stating this.

Tom Brodie: has been in the network marketing business since 1990 and has mastered the art of MLM based companies over the years. His experience in failure has excelled him to where he is today with VWD and uVme.biz.

Len Fitzgerald: became the pioneer of the 'video rental' stores in UK, if not the world back in the early 1980's. His experience in creating a 'franchise' if you will, helped him gain the understanding of how to grow and expand a business. But, in 2001, Len finally realized that 20 years of 9am - 9pm, 7 days a week at the video rental business was no longer the enjoyment he once thought of. He soon sold his business to his brothers and formed a partnership with Tom. Quoted directly from Len: "The principle of my work is to do everything today, nothing tomorrow. That’s especially the case in network marketing. You have to act now. Another thing networking has taught me is that listening to a few key people will usually produce far better insights than an exhaustive but impersonal market study will."

uVme is currently in a pre-signup beta form which gives the initial members the ability to advertise and begin marketing for referrals. I don't know how MLM's work throughout the world and I haven't specifically read anywhere that uVme is a MLM, but everything the site is about (including the previous experiences of the owners) proves that the site is a true Multi-Level Marketing company. The initial startup fee for uVme once it launches live, will be a whopping £199.97, €199.97, or $199.97 USD. But, if you are able to refer two members who become 'active' within the first 28 days of their sign-up, you will receive £100.00, €100.00 or $100.00 USD. This means the startup fee is covered. After that there is an additional £65, €65 or $65 USD 'license' fee (basically a membership fee) that is collected each month. Don't let that scare you though. uVme is designed around a product of providing a variety of video games that are a 'pay to play' system, running roughly £/€/$1 to play. uVme is designed to make money and then re-distribute that money to you, the member. Obviously, since uVme is a MLM company, the more people you have signed up and active, the more you will make!
